I found my face in my hands many times last night when Palin started answering a question in the debate... wait, I mean when she dodged a question and just talked about Alaska and energy. It was obvious that she'd spent her time in Arizona memorizing a bunch of talking points and attack lines to produce during the debate, and so she just made sure to go through all of those points and try to throw in an attack line whenever possible. That's why we got to see this horrible flop of an attack line from her:

On the other hand Biden gave the performance of his life. He didn't talk excessively - actually I think Palin took more time on the clock cause she just wouldn't shut up even if she wasn't making a point. His answers were clear and concise and showed his understanding of the policies and gave us specifics on the plans and why they were important. He focused on McCain while Palin tried to pull him into the mud.

There's also the fact that she had a few gaffes while Biden, the supposed gaffe king, had a clean night. She got the name of the general in Afghanistan wrong and also got his position on the war there wrong. She said that McCain was in favor of bankruptcy judges having the power to rework mortgages when McCain is totally opposed. And then she kept up the usual lies with things like saying that Obama's health care plan was a takeover by the Federal Govt, which isn't true, or that he was going to painfully raise taxes.
I think she did better in the debate than she did in the sit down interviews - why? Cause it's a great format for her. A bunch of topics, 2 people sharing the time, and no followups. So she could just throw out memorized talking points and attack lines and it's all good. In the interviews there was more depth and time for her to mess up, and boy did she. So yeah, she was better in the debates than the interviews, which I expected. She didn't exceed expectations. But I think Pat Buchannan said it well when he pointed out that if you liked her you loved this performance, if you disliked her this made you hate her, and if you're in the middle then who knows.

how can someone hate palin and like obama....thats all i want to know.
biden is a piece of shit and he contradicts himself every thirty seconds.
"I haven't changed in 30 years!" followed by "It took me 5 years to change..."
"Barack and I want to stop over extending ourselves and bring troops back!" followed by "We want to send more troops to Afghanistan and Darfur!"
He also was 'for' and 'against' expanding the power of the VP when discussed how the position could be flexible according the constitution.
I am not saying Palin is great but at least she didn't flip and flop and had one steady message that wasn't punctuated with two words: Hope and Change.
Tbh i wish i could see a blog by someone very biased towards Mccain to see both sides to the argument, i´ve never seen any vids of Obama being an ass or Biden dickin´about.
Only thing i´ve seen is that Palin would be the worst president of anything ever. Even the slightest chance of her leading over anything appals me. I´d vote for obama at this point if i had the chance.
I am a NL25 player so take my advice/comments in that perspective

fuck politics, seems every politician sucks, but I'm voting biden obama.. reading some of thsoe things on the fox message board makes me want to stab my eyes out, then again maybe I'm the one that isn't seeing things clearly

one of my friends is a huge conservative and would probably enjoy posting a mccain/palin-biased blog. i'll probably let him post some on my account in order to meet demand.
I'll do a McCain slanted blog with video clips against obama. That would be fun. I've watched a bunch of the clips that they like to tout and they're all so weak =)
The same students who had so lustily booed Mr. McCain, reported the New York Times, were "largely silent" when Mr. Obama gave the same answer.
If you see Palin stumble a little you'll laugh and joke with your friends about how stupid she is but easily overlook any tiny mistake by biden. I hope you know this to be true.
That said, I'm more than likely voting obama in november and sincerely hope he wins, I just hate how ridiculously blatant some people make their bias.

don't vote for someone just because their ads are better...and don't vote for someone b/c they were better at presenting their thoughts at a debate. Don't even look at polls of the debate... watch the debate, unbiased, and see which ideals appear better to you. Thats the whole point. I don't even think we should have political parties. There are idiots out there that would vote for hitler just because he was in the same party as them. it's ridiculous.
