I want to win this much?

No not really. I continue playing/stop playing depending on my feel of the session. Sometimes you know it's just not going to improve and is only going to get worse. Sometimes you feel that the longer you play the more you're going to win. Sometimes you're content with what you've won in a somewhat short session and you'll quit for now and make more later. So ya I do it by feel.

yeah i just say "yo god this session i want to win 1 mirrion!!" and then i do it, ez game & ez life!

i would like to win 1-2 buy in's but i only play about 300-500 hand sessions on 4 tables...due to lack of time.

My goal is at least 1 buyin. Usually by then I start getting bored/tired and feel like taking a break anyway. The only time I ever stopped because I won so much, was +4 buyins at one table playing my a-game. I suddenly got all superstitious and nervous and had that "quit while ahead" feeling, which made me feel gay and pathetic, and then realized I couldnt play feeling gay, so I quit for the day. Hey.

totally agree, to clarify my particular point is that i try to play as long as possible while conditions are good and simply stop when they are bad. so i play if theres good tables and i feel like im playing properly; if im tired, tilted or my attention is diverted i stop regardless of how many sick fish there are at my tables. i really try not to base my sessions on winning or losing a certain dollar amount.. although i guess playing by my rules, losing sessions end quickly :o

I don't do this, although the more I win it is better.
I try to play until I'm tired or tilted or whatever reason where I cannot play to the best of my ability.

If there's a fish though, I try to stay on longer and try to stack him or just take money from them.

I'm trying to restrict myself from looking at the cashier during all sessions now and just simply not worry about my net income for the session, but only focus on making +EV plays. Gonna try and ban myself from looking at the cashier total balance til the end of the month, hopefully I don't go busto without noticing

Why would you stop winning ? Just stop whenever you lose 2 or 3 bi and it's all good.

i've kept myself from going into a session with this mentality in mind. i feel like it hurts my play to keep thinking 'i want to win _____' during a session. instead i try to tell myself to try to make the best decisions possible. the money will come then.
