So to make it clear on what your tax cut would be under Obama, they developed a tax calculator. Pimpin. Under Obama I get 1k tax cut, under McCain I get 0.
Check it out.
Also so that this post isn't super boring, here's the Daily show episode w/ Michelle Obama. I haven't watched it yet but shit, it's the daily show!

I watched most parts of the two recent debates, and I thought McCain's tax ideas made more sense especially in the current situation, helping companies instead of just a populistic cut of poor people's taxes.
As a matter of fact, I am afraid Obama might turn out to be just a talker and not informed/capable enough on many important subjects. McCain would be a much better choice than Obama if only he wasn't so hardcore conservative, he seems like a man that is very determined, focused and capable, I am surprised, considering his age... |

Obama's plan has a huge emphasis on job creation and helping small businesses. McCain is more focused on helping the richest 3% and big corporations. Considering that the mccain plan is pretty much the same as the bush one, and giving help to the top 3% and the corporations got us into this mess, I think it's a pretty bad idea. Helping the middle class and small businesses is how to jump start this shit, plus getting credit unfrozen and dealing with the mortgage crisis, all of which are covered in Obama's plan.
As far as just a talker, I don't feel that at all. He's also very informed and extremely smart. That's what I like about him so much - he's got enough base knowledge to listen to the experts and understand, and enough intelligence to take their advice and formulate it into a great plan. He's a leader through and through. Just look at his life history and how he's gotten himself where he is by being smart and calm and composed.
The main thing mccain is determined to do is realize his ambition of being president. As far as the economy is concerned he's not capable of doing anything but listening to failed trickle down conservative policies and repeating the same mistakes. |

Big companies deserve a huge foot up there arses if you ask me. Im not a financial genius, and i would not pretend to know how to fix this but its obvious going back to how it was before the crash just wont work. Any approach is a good approach as long as its not the old approach. Thank you very much sir but those oil magnates take plenty of my cash as is.

I'm sorta on the fences who id vote for if both were democrats, and if McC threw out this tumor of a woman out of his campaign, but the way things are now there is no question. McCain is a smart and good man who got plagued by the idiots from the republican camp, those same folk who brought us Bush and Palin. You know it is puzzling how such a huge party can be half idiots half people whos only description can be an analogy with internet trolls(ala Tucker Bounds). |

i think everyone views Ron Paul as "crazy" b/c his ideas are so close to normal and the rest of America has changed far from where it used to be, that america is "crazy" but since they are the majority and they say what is crazy, he's crazy for being the minority.
and i'm "crazy" b/c i think that.
just b/c i'm the only one who looks at it from the point of view. |

Here's how I look at it. I work for a small-medium sized business that makes roughly 7 million dollars per year. The way I see it, the more money the leaders of this company have, the more likely I am to stay employed. The less they have to spend on taxes, the more likely they are to hire more employee's to expand their business. If the president of our firm has to take a big paycut, maybe he'll also decide to let me go. I want him to have as much money in his pockets as possible! So that he can continue to pay me my generous salary, and continue increasing it each year. In fact, 3 years ago we opened up a new branch office 300 miles away that now employs 10 people in a brand new building we have part ownership of. Every employee has a 24" monitor on his desk, some with dual's, brand new high quality printers in the building, and a gigabit network. They also cover 100% of my health insurance. They could not do all of this if suddenly a bunch of new taxes were levied upon them, above what they already are.
How does intel, amd, nvidia, ati, boeing, chevrolet, CAT, and countless other multi-billion dollar businesses pursue new technology? They spend money. The more money they have to spend, the more likely they are to spend it, because you gotta spend a little money to make some.
A friend of mine made a great point to me one day, and it's this. Businesses dont pay taxes. Thats right, not one single business in this country pays any taxes of any kind to anybody whatsoever. But Hawking, what ever do you mean? Businesses dont pay taxes because they pass on those taxes to you, the consumer, via increased sales cost of their product. Ever look at your cell phone/internet bill and see all those FCC, local state, and telecom fee's? These were fee's/taxes the gov't imposed upon these companies over the years. Why is it on your bill? Because YOU are now paying them. The providers simply pass on the cost to you, because they for sure arent gonna pay that shit. Those fee's are required by law to be spelled out on your bill which is why you see them. But dont think for a second that an invisible blanket layer of new taxes wont be passed on to you in the same fashion.
