Havent ever really had to post about problems when moving up but this time I think I have to since I have no1 on msn to talk to about it... So just looking for some advice and pointers...
I have been rolled for 50nl 3x now in past few days and busted out moving down back into 25nl and having to rebuild from there... In 25nl, I am running at like 6bb/100 over large sample, like 30k sample but I don't understand why I am having trouble in 50nl? I seem to get tilted easier and spew off a lot more than I do in any other limit, has any1 else had similar troubles?
I just moved down into 25nl again but have to leave for football in the next 10mins so I will rebuild when I get back and hopefully be ready for another 50nl shot in the next few days but in the mean time I would greatly love some help from some of you.
Thanks, if you want me to upload some stats or something which would help you understand more of my problem, let me know then ill upload when I get home.
Thanks again.

i was having this same problem, then i won a tournament and am now overrolled for nl50 i suggest you do that~
honestly i had taken 3 or 4 shots at nl50 and they all ended in horrible things. I feel the games are much tighter at nl50 with so many nit regulars just play solid i guess and be in position but thats just general advice if you gave us some stats we could help more i guess |

i've seen you around at the 25NL tables, you seem pretty solid to me. are you trying to deviate too much from your usual play style at 25nl? |

main difference is that 50nl has some people that actually 3bet you without AA/KK. Basically every time you go up from 25nl the games will get a little crazier. However if you just play abc tight poker on 50nl you should be really fine if your solid.

Thanks for comments, well I dont know what it is really.
Only noticable thing is that I play 16/14 in 25nl and I play 20/16 in 50nl so iam playing looser, I think this might be because of the amount of nits so iam opening up more... therefore my problem could be that running into nits more.. Going to try concentrate on playing more ABC style I guess I could be getting too cocky because of the way I am playing and doing well in 25nl! |

both of those stats are fine really, but don't feel you have to play looser when you're moving up in unl stakes. just play your standard, solid game, get comfortable playing higher then work on deviating aspects of your game when you feel you can increase your winrate.
fwiw, i hate sitting to your left whenever i'm picking tables, so you're doing something right at 25nl. :-) |
