why wouldnt cutting balls off with blunt knife do? I mean its not like it would be taken seriously by anyone, it makes no diffrence if you use matter of facts threats such as "hurt you a little bit" or "kick your ass" or something out of control like "Ill cut your balls off with a blunt knife".

Its a matter of trustworthyness, he is more likely to get beat up than having his balls hacked off with a machete

but its quite irrelevant which is more likely because the likelyhood of you
a) being able find him
b) being willing to risk committing a very serious crime such as battery when both of you know very well that after he has taken the money you aren't getting it back no matter how bad you beat him up (thus after he has scammed you it is very irrational thing to do to kick his ass, as only motivation is revenge). Also if he knows your name it becomes even more unlikely that you would take such risk. If I would be in his situation I would never hesitate a second before taking police into it btw so dont count on that. Probably you could get off the country before any police action but that is only in the case everything goes well. No one passes by and calls cops, cops dont happen to randomly pass by and check it out etc.
c) actually having balls to do that
d) being able to beat someone up, especially when your target knows it might be coming and goes to buy a pepper spray asap (or optionally starts carrying a closecombat knife with him)

is so ridiculously small that most people will simply disregard such possibility and think that you are joking as you seem to be. really when that thing is clearly meant as a joke why not just make it funnier with a blunt knife thing?

Nope the other way he has to live with a little fear that im serious, a little paranoia everyday which makes it more likely he doesn't scam me and if he does at least I am getting a little payback that way
