Hey all
I has a 2000 nissan maxima and this morning i was going to school it stopped working
the engine make a small noise when i first turned the key and then it died, making like no noise at all. I tried couple other times but it makes no sound at all. Then i took the bus to school and im posting from school now.
i pressed the emergency triangle light button and nothing came on, i suspect dead batteries but im not 100% sure. My car has computer controls and I thought i would be alerted with a low battery light before it goes out or anything...
anyone know the problem or any ez fixes or i should call a tow truck and take it to a mechanic...

if you suspect dead batteries find someone to jump start it. If it's not the batteries then call the tow truck. That's what I would do. |

Have you checked if any switches for things like the lights or stereo have been left on? |

Researchers used brain scans to show that when straight men looked at pictures of women in bikinis, areas of the brain that normally light up in anticipation of using tools, like spanners and screwdrivers, were activated. | |

Put in a new battery. If it doesn't work, it may be your alternator or even a grounding issue. |

? dont put in a new battery lol..
normally a small noise before it stops working is a sign of a dead battery, its using the little bit of power left to try and start the car, then its out..
just jump start your car.. attach both red sides to the positive battery connector on ur car and the other car, connect the ground on your cars side to your cars negative battery connection and the ground on the other side to a grounding point on the car thats running.. once they are connected give it a few minutes to charge up a bit, then give it a go, if it ticks a few times and doesnt start, give it more time..
if this starts your car up, drive it for a while so the battery will recharge, if you drive it around a bunch, come home and this happens again, your alternator is most likely dead. If it works for a few days then this starts happening randomly on and off, its your starter. Best way to do this is if the problem continues, go down to your local auto supply store and ask them to check out ur alternator and battery.. they have some very simple tools to test these things.. and then you will know if you have a problem or not..
just dont waste your money on a tow truck and auto repair bills for nothing. |
