January has been odd. I started strong and was pretty excited. I've rebuilt my roll so that I'm over 4k and I'm mostly playing NL100 with the occasional juicy NL200 table mixed into my NL100 tables. I've done a good job of avoiding tilt. Had a few tilty spews but always quit as soon as I do em so it's never more than 1 a session. And I feel like I've played pretty damn well. Run into a lot of coolers and suckouts.

I feel like I have a lot of these break even stretches. Long ones. It always happens right after I have a semi heater, which is usually consisting of me not getting sucked out on for a thousand hands. I will shoot up after a great session since my hands hold up for a few sessions and then I get these long 10k+ break even stretches. They used to be 10k downswings cause I'd get frustrated and tilt. So at least now I'm turned em into break even stretches.

But shit, why can't I get a 100k hand heater? I seem to get like 100k hand downswings but never heaters. wtf rite? Oh well, at least I get FPPs. Very close to being able to buy the 1.5k bonus so that's a plus. Hopefully by Wednesday.

Anyway, here's Jan:

long ass break even stretches really do feel pretty gross, but insert the bonuses u get on stars (or look up what your equivalent rakeback % is for your VIP level) and stick that on ur graph in HEM options.. Could make you feel better

my largest downswing was a 100k stretch breakeven.

this is like a true break even though. haven't really gone down. pretty much have sessions within 1-2 buyin wins or losses every time and it kinda alternates so that I am always even. For the last like 7 days I've been btwn 4.2k and 4.6k. lolz

I had a 100k stretch where I broke even in the sense that I had a huge downswing and then recovered to the pre-swing level after 100k hands. but that's not TRUE break even!

lol I dunno why I'm trying to argue this. we all suck.

breaking even is a lot lot better than losing imo. believe me, its a lot, lot better than when you run really bad. be thankful of these b/e stretches, it's all variance really for the most part

I think you have a lot of potential and would really like to help with your game. I think beating 100nl for >10ptbb is very doable. You have the fearlessness and receptiveness that would make you really good to work with.

I know I keep making this offer, I just like having good poker minds to mold.

haha =)

thanks freak

I've been so into grinding and haven't thought about sessioning with other people or anything. I still have your AIM from a long while back so I'll get in touch. Probably tomorrow cause I have a full poker day then and sakisaki is outta town so I won't have a coaching session.
