Holy shit he's president. Like no more "president-elect" shit.
That was a huge crowd at the innaguration. Crazy.
These first 48 hours should be interesting. I read somewhere that Obama has had staffers putting together a list of executive orders he can give in the first 48 hours to wipe out shit Bush had put into place over the last 8 years. Let's see if he uses it.

Not at all - this country needs a lot of work and we can get some shit done if we work together behind a good leader. I love the fact that Obama never says he's gonna fix everything and always calls on us to take action to get things done. That's a good leader. Bush did the "don't worry, go shopping, I'll take care of this, don't pay attention" technique and we all zoned out and he spent 8 years fucking the USA up. Obama's saying "Get off your ass, take action, make this country better, be the change you want to see". He's inspiring action and asking us to care and pay attention. |

I keep hearing this from cynics but usually the examples they cite are just their own interpretations of what Obama was gonna do when he never said he would. All my liberal friends have been crying cause they think Obama is back tracking on shit but it's all just stuff they projected upon him - Obama's always been a very centrist guy which is why I liked him. So far he's pissed off all of my far left friends and all of my far right friends, and everyone I know who's in the middle or isn't a cynic is pretty damn happy with him, so I think that means he's doing a good job, and he just got the job today =) |

Obama learned an important lesson from Bush--act like a nice guy and make everyone like you and you can win the election without letting anyone know what your true policy stances are, and by the time people catch on it's too late. Hopefully Obama is as awesome as everyone wants him to be because this country needs help. |
