Hello everyone,
I know most of you probably don't know me, but I've been a troll/lurker/infrequent poster here for a few years now. I'll start off with a small bit of my background. My name is Ed and I'm a 21 year-old college student from New Jersey. I started playing poker about 5 years ago when I was in high school. My online history is very mediocre, capped off by a bronze freeroll win for $1500 on FTP in the summer of 07 after grinding 10nl fr all summer (lol). I have never really been able to build a bankroll because every time I get a somewhat substantial amount of money built up, I have to cash out to pay for real life stuff (which is the reason for my current lack of a roll). I've never seriously played over 100nl and have mostly played 25 and 50nl 6max for the past year (when I have money).
Most recently I was staked by my roommate, who some of you may know from LP, Shaw67193. This started in November and went to early January. Mostly played 25nl 6m with some 50nl towards the end.

I know I'm slightly too nitty but I've been trying to work on that.
Hopefully if I can get someone to help me out with a stake, I'll be able to actually build up a bankroll this time =] Thanks for reading this far if you've gotten through all this.
If you are interested or even just want to talk , send me a PM.
-Ed

best advice i can give you is get a job and stop cashing out until the amount of money you need to make a living is a very small % of ur roll, making it meaningless when you cash out |

I have a job, it just doesn't cover enough with the hours I get. I should be ok now tho.. the last money I decided to cash out was to completely pay off a credit card so I don't have to pay bullshit interest on it anymore. I just cashed out everything in order to do this, thinking I would spend the rest of the semester focusing on school and just working... but I honestly don't know what to do with my free time now that I don't have poker lol.
*edit: I do appreciate the advice Fayth, and as soon as I could afford it I would likely deposit on my own. There just isn't much money on top of rent/living expenses for me right now. I don't forsee myself being able to deposit again for a few months. Which is why I thought this would be a good option if I can get a backer. |
