It's so weird - a week ago I was playing 6k hands a day and felt like it wasn't enough. Now I can barely get myself to play. Not sure wtf is up. Totally lost my desire. Guess I might have burned out a bit.
Part of it is definitely that I've been wanting to spend time with my GF. When we're just lazing around and I could play poker or just sit around with her, I've wanted to sit around with her. A few weeks ago if we were just sitting around I'd be like "fuck this I'm gonna get something done" and grind grind grind. But the last few days I just wanna keep sitting around, watch TV, chat about random shit, and try to get her to play old school nintendo games with me (she tried super mario bros 3 and let's just say she's not a natural... but it took me forever to get any skill back on it and I still suck).
Maybe it's the wii and all the games I have to play. But the thing is - when I cam back from Xmas with a million new games to play I was still grinding like crazy cause I wanted to. Then I went through about a 2-3 week stretch where I never played any games but only poker, and if I did game it was usually cause I was forcing myself to do something other than poker and I wasn't very into it.
Weird. When I have played I played ok but definitely didn't feel like I was playing great. Also keep having short sessions. Meh, I dunno. I really don't want to force it and put out my B game though.

dont know but maybe ure really burned out a bit.
if u am not mistaken u have a relativly small bankroll ( for the time ure into Poker) and play relativly high with huge swings.
I did kinda the same and it burned me out
I played Nl100 HU with a 4K roll ... and somtimes i won 700 sometimes i lost 1K ....
even though i have 40BI its still fact that a singhle bad session massivly affects my BR
this is not nice for RL
I recently played Nl25 with a 4K roll ^^ lol
but it was relaxing and i enjoyed it.
havent played that much poker while having fun in a long time.

those "lazy" stretches happen when u play too much for what you can handle and it does get to you, im in a similar state now and im also kinda just doing nothing too lol

i had the exact same thing when i got my xbox+new plasma + gta4, i played 90k hands that month before so i was fed up too.
then 5 seasons of entourage kicked in as well :D don't worry you'll be back and its good to take a break now and then. |
