But I noticed some stuff about your blogs that could change the way you play poker. It seems like you are always so worried about how you're running, how the last session went, how the one before it went, moving up to 400 nl.... etc. Man, if i was always thinking about that stuff I'd stress myself the fuck out. Poker is soooo much better when you have a massive bankroll for your limits and you have no problem grinding allll day. If you are concerned about profitability more than fun I suggest that you cut down your stress on current results and play a lot more hands and don't move up limits until you have a ton of buyins for 2/4. People underestimate the effect that teetering between limits has on them mentally so much. A select few can go up and down limits without it affecting their desire to play the game, I know I am not one of those people.

You seem so excited about your results so far at 200 nl (and you should be).... do you not see what it could be like if you grind a $10k month? What about two $10k months back to back? What about starting 400 nl with a $25,000 BR? Think loooong term mang, unless you are really good enough to stomp on 400 nl, I wouldn't think about it for thousands and thousands of hands from now.

thanks rob. I agree with what you said. I'm kinda confused though cause I haven't had any plans to move to NL400 anytime soon - I figure at least 16k before considering a shot and that's only if I've got a 100k winning hand sample of NL200 at that point. I'm at least 3 months away from NL400 and I wouldn't be surprised if it took me 6 months or more to move up there. I guess I said something in my blog which made it seem like I am on some sorta rush to get to NL400 asap, but that's not the case at all.

I think that's because of being new to NL200 and feeling like I'm not at a super solid BR for it yet. I felt the same way @ NL100 untill I hit 5k. Once I had 50 buyins I felt like my BR was so huge that I could totally relax about everything. Right now I'm happy cause I'm almost at the 40 BI mark which is where I start to calm down, but I won't have that full calm till the BR is a bit bigger. But while that may seem weird in my blogs, when I'm playing I'm doing great - very calm, very good about dealing with tilt, quitting the second I feel like I'm not playing well and never playing with scared money.
