Hello,
I'm a longtime lurker here, and decided to start a blog. Not that I think my blog will bring new insights, but for me its a nice way to keep an eye on my development.
My story in short:
Went busto a few times, deposited $50 a few times. Tightend up a bit, build my BR from $50 to ~$800 in like 17.000 hands. Then after an ugly tilt session I dropped back to $200 in 1000 hands. Pretty bad. I decided to put it all on risk, an played 1/2$ HU, and in 272 hands I got it back to ~$900.
image of that session:
After that I cleaned my PT-database and now I play 6 tables 25/50NLHE, which I know I can beat. While posting this I have played 1k hands, making 6BB/100. Which doesnt say a thing at this point Well, I'll keep posting hands, stats and other things I'd like to share.

That's pretty impressive man, what stakes were you playing at with the $50 originally? |

Ojka:
Always playing at 10 Buy-ins (made it 15 now), so I started with playing at the 2/4, playing both 6max and fullring. Nowadays I just play 6max. I had a massive upswing in the beginning, winning 5BI's in one hour or something like that. So I got kinda too greedy. I was doing really well at the 10/20, which was BB/100-wise my most effective limit. My first big downswing was when I tried to jump to the 50/100 limit. Couldnt handle running twice with KK into AA, loosing $200. Now I've studied BR-management...I think my game is good enough at this point (maybe I pay off too often when somebody hits a gutshot or smt. But can't feel bad over that most of the times since I realize how stupid he played...) |

you don't have to study bankroll management - you just have to follow it.
good luck not busting again |

I don't feel like going busto
however, we'll see. theoretically you can't go busto since I always buy in with 1/15 of my BR. Losing money means lower buyins, and eventually going down limits. |

Don't take this the wrong way, but learn to follow BR mngt. or you will not make it in poker. |

do you buy in for like 4/5 of the max BI if you dont have the roll for more? GL at going up (and a small advice: when you move up, extend the BR rule. depending on the game/level you need atleast 20BI, and the higher you get, the more BI you need) |

you say you move down if you lose some?
but still you sit down with 100% of your bankroll playing heads up for when losing some of your roll? |

yeah, that was when I completely tilted, and didn't care about BR-management etc.
But since I am planning on taking things more serious, I will care in the future. I play now with 18 BI. I think that at 25/50 that should be enough. I'll stay on 25/50 till I have about $2000. Then I'll take a shot at 50/100. |
