Hello fellow LPers I need some poker oversight.
Even tho I'm a winner in NL25 (6ptBB over 30k+) I think it's time for me to start thinking a little bit different, I'm currently 8 tabling so most of my play is standard and I know that works but I do have the intention to move up and I don't think my current game is gonna cut it.
I'll try to describe my thinking process and game plan so more experienced players can give me tips on how to improve.
So far most of the play happens PF I know very little about playing short handed and I'm horrible at HU so I think my postflop play is flawed in many aspects, basically what I do is base my decisions (C/R/F) on player stats and take it from there I don't pay attention to hands that I'm not participating because to be honest I don't even think I have the brain power to do so, I do make plays like squeezing pots and re-steal based on CBET% and 3bet% and I'm pretty sure i get it right most of the time, I understand the concept of fold equity but rarely use it because the people I play with rarely fold. (They never fold overpairs or sets even in the most atrocious kind of board)
I can recognize "types" of players and I have a basic idea on how to exploit aggro donks and extreme nits by letting them value bet themselves on the first case and doing unorthodox stuff on later.
The reason I'm posting this is because playing like C3PO 80% gets old and I want to evolve, I appreciate advices and comments.

What are your VPiP/PFR etc stats atm with 8 tables? |

Overall 18/12 but I try to adapt in each table so sometimes it can be way higher.
I don't have the other stats because my PT database decided to fuck me in the arse so I"m using the Realtime HUD at the momment. |

do whatever it takes to win, and then plan to learn as you move up.
i'd reduce tables though and try to compensate by increasing my winrate (which is already pretty decent if you're 8 tabling). |

if you're 18/12 at a shorthanded table, you really should open up your preflop range if you want to challenge yourself to get better. |

Like i said I try to adapt, I play full ring and if there are only 5 ppl at the table I instaleave.
Maybe I should try some 6 max ? =p |

i think u got the idea behind the game etc. just go with your play and think about changing ur game when its not working! in poker u should never play different just to be cool as long as ur wiining its fine and saying 6bb/100 is decent is lol aswell while 8 tabling. i think this winrate is pretty good comparing how the tables changes from 2 years ago! i would go with the following:
NEVER TOUCH A RUNNING SYSTEM

Maybe you missed his point. He knows he can win with this system, but he wants to improve his short hand game, where he struggles. |

Thanks for all the input, guess I'll finish this month in FR and next month when I'm back in Brazil I'll give this 6-max thing a try, everyone seems to think 6-max is the shit. |
