when govt is basically guaranteeing safe and good (prolly 10%+/yr) returns on toxic asset bonds. i'm going to start looking for these funds to park long term assets in right now.
this is just news this morning. american tax payers are getting raped as usual
I'm still heavily short S&P, Retailers, Banks, and REIT. looking to diversify on govt backed toxic asset funds backed by tax payer $

i cant tell anythin from that chart (obv) but my view on the USD is that its going to be the strongest currency in the future (buy USD) |

Yeah Lachlan you need more indicators than just the chart, I'd probably look to buy USD as well though like JY said |

correct me if im wrong but a pattern like bottoming pattern wouldn apply here since its currendy trade and not a stock |

it works for almost every liquid (large amts of buyers and sellers) market because its just kinda tells u the supply and demand for that market. illiquid and small markets can be raped by manipulation.
u really have to view it within a context kinda, like govt monetary policy and stuff.
how to make $ off it is not that easy (obv). i would think if u can spot good topping/bottoming patterns is that u pick a group of topping pattern stocks and short them. and long those bottoming stocks. and pretty much let it run and make some $.
im not a currency expert. but i do believe when everything is bad people will go to the US Dollar.. the worst is far from over. |

no
its just announced today give it some time to be advertised lol
since its govt backed unlike junk bonds. pretty much a guarantee |

i really dont have much sense of real monetary policy or etc
i just use the USD to confirm moves. like if stock market goes up while the dollar is up. its kinda like catching a bluff.
a strong dollar is deflationary and signals that govt didnt print enough money to make any sort of inflation.
now my personal opinion is that deflationary environments are good for normal people but bad for the gov't. but since govt controls everything they try their best not to let it happen. but this spot is fubar'd that their money pumping wont be enough anyway. |
