I hit a massive downswing last year ($600 -> $100) when I took up HU sngs and sucked at them.
I've now come back to cash and my goal for this year is to become a winner at NL25.
I currently have $205 in my BR.
Steps to achieve my goal:
Grind NL5 to $300
Grind NL10 to $750
Grind NL25 for money (winrate of 2ptbb/100)
I'm going with a 30 buyin br management so I have less stress from coolers and I'm not playing scared money.
That's pretty much it, time to grind grind grind.

I notice there is no part of your plan that will improve you as a player, foo |

yeah, grinding nl25 for money won't be that profitable. |

you really dont need to grind nl10 to 750, 500$ should be fine |

How you want it, bars or bullets? | |

dude, grinding nl25 for money is fine.
but 2ptbb/100 is not fine for money. u'll need like 7ptbb/100 or something to make it worthwhile |

Yep, yep
Let's just say I want to reach that stage in NL25 first and then I'll go from there.
Even if I have that small winrate, with rakeback I can make about $600 NZD a month.
I have a full time job so that would be a nice supplement (and a relatively easy one). |
