Well I've been overall frustrated with poker lately and I'd rather not tilt-spew away my BR because I force myself to play. So I've decided to change my focus around a bit. Right now I work a part time job where I'm helping develop a new website for a non-profit organization. I've been focusing on poker first and then doing the part time job with a kind of half arsed effort. But we're getting closer to a deadline and there's more cool work available to be done now as we've gotten further into the site, so I'm going to flip that around and prioritize my work on the site first and put poker second. And when I do play poker I'm going to focus on NL50 HU and studying/practicing for adjusting to live play so that I can take full advantage of my Vegas trip in June for the WSOP.

I figure I'll allow myself to do NL100 6max during the week if I'm really in the mood for it, and NL200 6max during the weekends if I'm strongly in the mood for it. But mainly I will do NL50 HU while watching prinnyraiding. I started a HU journey but then I began doing really well in 6max and had to ride that wave. It seems to be slowing down right now and a switch of focus on the type of poker seems to be in order.

I've been really stressed the past few weeks and I think it's cause of the frustrations of a lot of breakeven results. I think this will make poker more fun as I'm learning new things. Then I'll still feel like I'm achieving things even if I'm not making a lot of money via poker cause I'll be working hard on this site, and this is a site I'm extremely excited about. So this should be a good formula till the site is done.

Ahh, now I've got that good feeling that comes when you make a solid plan and get ready to put it into action =)

brett i think this bitch would be yours if you could become a poker buddha with tilt control for every level of the poker mindset. once you've controlled your lower tilt you must control your upper tilt

haha yeah =)

lately I'm just so impatient and I can't get myself to just calm down. Luckily I catch myself feeling that way and quit sessions quickly, but it sucks to have lots of losing sessions because I am not in a good enough mindset to play long ones or I start doing spewy calls cause I don't have the patience to wait for the right spots. Shit like not folding AA when I'm 99% sure the guy has a set.
