Succes erwin.
Be happy with the money you earned tho, gives you so much chances other people won't ever have. Gl in the future. Something on the computer should never be the only thing in life. Hope things will work out with the next girl ; - )

u know i used to work in the games industry around real people and it fucking pissed me off to no end. this is just pathetic. u have it all good but r wishing for something that doesnt exist
the grass is always greener on the other side is applicable here. think about the wage slave who gets up every morning at 6 to work in an office. clearly u dont know what rl is like and how easy u have it |

I wish you with the best of luck on whatever you decide to go do next. I guess it makes sense that poker or money in general is not the key to overall happiness, a lot of people need a lot more time than you did to figure this out and I am not even sure if deep down, I even realise this myself.
Anyways, GL on your studies and all that other RL stuff. Greetings, Kilay. |

i kinda feel that way too sometimes. playing poker you miss out on that social networking that a job or school offers. i have a ton of friends and im not shy in anyway. but i rarely meet new people these days and it does get kinda stale. |

for a second i was totally confused and felt like i was reading my diary ...
i so know what you are talking about, i semi quit poker like year ago when i stopped carring about moving up and just started to play as few as possible to make my living. I am really not that kind of person who can play poker at home all day long and now once i graduate ( in 1 month) i will get a job ASAP, for the similar reasons that you have mentioned |

poor you! all your success and money, it must be so difficult living a free life where you can change your plans in the blink of an eye because you don't have to answer to the man like everybody else does.
wanna meet more people? take some friends and go to a bar. go get hammered, and have a drunken sleep, and guess what? thanks to POKER you can do this ANY time of week, sleep in until you fucking want and then work when you damn well feel like it. |

Not to be an ass, i like you and i am as well a pretty shy boy and have similar thoughts about my life but it really sounds like you got your first girlfriend or something and well thats great, but dont think to deep of it =) it probably wont change your life!
girls have this strange habit to make your thoughts go way off in the clouds for a while... |

i kinda agree with this.
heres my take. getting a job isnt the best solution to your problem. id continue to play poker as an income because its better than any other job you are probably going to get and you will realize this once you have to get up at 6am and maybe deal with a shitty boss or have annoying coworkers or have to do overtime or have to work fridays.
id look for a hobby. a lot of us poker players like mma so maybe joining an MMA class with give you that social network youre looking for. if thats not your cup of tea find what is. maybe do some volunteer work in some kinda field you like. something not restricting but will connect you with people who enjoy the same things you do. |

GL twisted =)
btw, this is why I've kept a part time job, and the job is at a nonprofit organization. I don't get very much money from it at all but it brings a lot of balance to my life and I get that feeling of contribution and socializing that you were talking about. |
