ive had various nl100 grinders sweat me, and ive been watching videos and reading articles nonstop. general consensus is that my game is fine (i've also made some videos people have been commenting on).

forgot to mention, ppl shove over me when i cbet air but they all fold when i hit sets. just add that to the bitchlist too.

im not looking for sympathy, i'm pushing through it. poker can just be brutal sometimes.

Hm i had a downswing from NL200 to Nl10 where i lost ~ 5K over ~ 50K hands runniing like 3K negative in EV on Ipoker ( Over the limits i run an average of 45 BI under Ev in 50K hands)
Worst shit that happend in my life so far pokerweise and i didnt think what happend was even possible.

I didnt move down though to lower than Nl50 .....

had 5,2K Bankroll and took shots at Nl200 after being a winner at Nl100 the month before + being a Nl50 winner for 3 month in a row.
then i suddenly started losing and losing and losing and it just never stopped.
finally i had 250$ left of my 5,2K roll and was on Nl10 again ....

First 30 K hands i just run uber bad and it was barely my fault that i lost so much
next 20 K hands i was just soulcrushed and played my C- game and lost to both downswing and playing bad ..

i needed many many months to recover from that psychologically
as said : my soul was destroyd

Now its all fine again

That was terribad PPlusAD but I am almost 90% sure that Sliggy is a case of wrong BR management, losing like this on micros does not compute

-First you move to NL50 with 16 BI. However good is your game, this is plain retarded. It could be called bold if it was FR and you were crushing NL25, but SH its just silliness.

-I doubt that you moved down at appropriate times, correct me if I am wrong - tell me when you moved down to NL25 and NL10 ?

-Now you got $50. That is NOT A ROLL FOR NL5. However you are good, I am sorry but 10BI is not enough, with the set miners and nut hunters all over the place (if you play at Stars) you might lose it all if you are unlucky.

-I would also like to ask about your Stop Loss, do you have it in place? What are your limits for a table/session/day?


I know that if you are good FR than 18 BI shots is a borderline for good players. They simply get so good reads that what they do is hard to lose. SH is completely different and if I don't sit at 30 BI at least I feel very uncomfortable.
Well maybe you are a huge nit Sliggy (maybe that is why NL50 owns you) and variance doesn't apply to you so much, but if you are anything like me and you love action(I Either 9-15 table or play LAG) than your BRM really was the cause and next time you should simply grind more BR so you can play ruthless poker and are not affected by bad -5BI session.


If I were in your situation I'd 20table FR NL2 for free money, than 15 table NL5 SH and after than whatever you can handle NL10.

was taking shots at NL50 last week, then hit a downswing and lost 600
had to drop back down to NL25 then NL10

but what lemon said is true, i think you moved back down to lower stakes a little too late

ive had the worst downswings ever too. but imo when u move up beating the previous limit, i cannot see any logical explanation how u could lose so much to move down another limit again, esp at low/micro, somethng is def wrong and its not more of variance but tilt/bad play. denial runs the industry, always remember that.
lick your chops and swallow ur pride/ego, but always keep focused and resolute no matter what.
