Anybody know of a safe / easy way to do this? seem to be a lot of sites that come up in google but they're filled with ads and am not sure which ones can be trusted.

Firefox has some add ons that work quite well. I use the NetVideoHunter add-on which works great for most video sites. |

I chose download helper for firefox cause it had video conversion built in for lots of different formats. works pretty well =)
