This month was awesome, and it wasn't because of poker. Actually, pokerwise it was extremely lame. Here's the graph:

Yup, only played 12k hands and I'm a 12 tabler. I went through a bunch of hands and there are a few I played horribly, but I mostly ran bad. I checked my database and got KK vs AA 5 times and AA vs KK 0 times, so either people are soul reading me or I just ran a little bad O_O.

But anyways, I haven't been playing much poker because I've been working on the poker club I started at my school and other poker related things. Here's a few things I've been doing:

1. I emailed PokerStarsPartners (PokerStars' affiliate website) if they were willing to help provide for the club this upcoming semester, and they pretty much said they'd be glad to do so. Obviously I'd have to be promoting them somehow, so I outlined a small business plan and how I'd go about doing so. They said they were interested and to provide them with more info when the club launches next semester.

2. Emailed CardRunners support to try and contact Taylor Caby about the club since he's a graduate of my school. He quickly responded to me personally in only a few hours and said he was going to come down to U of I to give a speech for a business class. He also said it would be cool to meet up sometime while he was down. I went down there with rS.Wisdom (same school) and we met Taylor and chatted with him a bit. He's a really, really nice guy, and you can tell he is genuinely interested in any conversation you have with him. He said he'd be glad to help out next year, and even do some CardRunners stuff. By the way, what are some good vids to watch on the site?

3. Contacted the team that I work with for my site (great guys, you can look up their services at heathmont.net). They said they'd definitely be willing to work on a site for the poker club, so I won't have some ghetto webpage that I made via my own obsolete HTML.

4. Emailed Barry Greenstein to try and get him to come as well, since he's also a graduate of my school. He responded but he didn't really seem interested .

Anyways, you see the poker club as part of the UIUC student organization here:

http://www.union.uiuc.edu/involvement/rso/a-z_list.aspx

It's listed under Athletic/Recreation, and the club is called "Illini Poker Club". You can also see it if you look under the letter "I".

School is about to end, and I'm pretty much devoting this entire summer to poker. I'm going to be working on my own game, the club, as well as my site. I've been donking around at NL100 for a while now, but I just haven't been putting the hours in, and I've been cashing out a bit, something I thought I would never do until I hit NL200. You can expect me to become extremely active on the forums in about a month.

Good luck at the tables!

PS: For all of you who haven't read rockman's blog, gogogo

Proof that you can turn from a 24-tabler nutpeddler into a 8 tabling monster.

creating this kind of an initiative is something that i think a lot of people would like to do, but i think most people either lack the social skills or the drive to actually go through with it. i'm really impressed and i hope you can pull it off.
