first shot at nl100 |

Just took my first shot at nl100, played 300 hand session 4tabling and was lucky enough to have position on an uberfish (he bought in 4 1/2BI everytime and lost like 250$ in 40hands I think :d). So i'm up 1BI so far on 100NL. I think the fish are pretty much the same as on 50nl however the good players seem to be better and I feel somewhat uncomfortable dealing with people 3betting a lot.
What do you guys do when getting 3bet a lot? Just call lighter/4bet lighter? what hands do you call with IP/OOP? at the moment I mix in some SCs when I'm OOp with my big hands and check/raise a ton with them and also call with KQ and other broadways depending on how much they 3bet/what sort of hands I've seen them have before. IP i'll do the same but reduce my % of speculative hands and increase% of broadways.
Good gameplan or should I get Deucescracked asap?

imo, your 3Bet calling range seems a recipe for disaster.
you shouldn't call 3bet oop, unless your hand is huge. KQ, or other double dominated hand are really not the type of hands you want to play oop, against a decent aggro player which is gonna stack you every time he has you dominated, and you'll have to make tough guessing game on the river.
If you fold less than 60% of the time (assuming villains are not lol-min-3betting you), I think you are making something wrong, imho. |

thanks for the advice. Well atm I'm not really calling any 3bets light, just 4betting AQ and JJ in certain situations but at 50nl I was hardly ever getting 3bet light or if I was it wasn't at a high enough frequency to really be a problem but at 100nl I seem to be getting 3bet a ton so I think i'll have to learn to react to that or is just stealing less/4betting wider enough of an adjustment?. |

Full Ring or 6 max?
+ u need a decent hand sample size before judging any players 3bet range or the toughness of the general playing field.
300 hands is nothing but a tiny first shot.
I moved all the way from 0.01/0.02 to 200NL quite some time ago and can tell you that the biggest difference always has been that i had to get used to the bigger pots, playing too timid at start. The regs in general only turned out to be slightly better if at all and i always made the mistake to give too much respect to the new regs every time i moved up. |

if you call with KQ out of position, I think you call too light.
The right adjustment is "who 3bet too much": they want to keep the pressure on you and not let you isolate the fish.
A proper adjustment is to 4bet lighter, and also fold.
You shouldn't be concerned by the fact you are getting 3bet. Just dont play marginal hands out of position, and also, try not to seat at the very right or one seat after a competent Lag, cause sooner or later you are gonna get into problems. |

6max and 300hands is obviously way too small samplesize but there were a few players of which I was 90% sure they were 3betting me light much more than for value and I felt I had to react somehow but didn't really know how so I just tightened up a bit/ left the table. I feel playing back every once in a while when I have a tight image vs someone I have seen 3bet light and who is also just 3betting a lot should be profitable and I definately want to experiment with it.
