Life Graph n stuff

That's my lifetime graph of NL / PL on pokerstars. I have some fixed limit on PS and some fixed limit on FTP, plus like a few thousand NL hands on FTP/Party. But I've pretty much played my entire career on stars and this is all of that.

Don't ask how much it is in $ instead of BB - no need to embarass myself with my extremely low winnings for over 760k hands of play, so I'm not gonna tell you, hehe. It's taken me 1,302 hrs to play all those hands. Sadly I've put in that much work and still suck at poker, haha. At least I've gotten to a point where I can beat NL100. Hopefully it won't take me another 700k hands to learn how to beat NL200.

I've done a lot of multi-tabling, and a decent amount of those hands were done while playing 12+ tables. I think that I don't learn much while playing more than 8 tables, so there's a lot of hands in there where I was a mindless robot and didn't improve my game. Lately I play 6-8 tables most of the time so I've actually been IMPROVING, and that's nice. Still got a long way to go.

Other fun stuff:

Biggest winning session - 1,086 hands for a profit of $1,469.50 @ NL200

Biggest losing session - 1,737 hands for a loss of $1,268.55 @ NL200

Longest session - 426.3 minutes (7.1 hrs) playing 9,264 hands for a profit of $259.75 on NL50

As you can see on the graph I'm in a 60k hand downswing. The fucking pain. That's why I looked at the life graph, to get a sense of how it looked in the big picture. Still a big downswing, but not so bad when you zoom out.

12 table sounds like a problem. Beat it with 8, then move up. Unless you full ring.

heater followed by a downswing, seems logical

I have learned from poker that being at the table is not a grind, the grind is living and poker is how I pass the time

Consistent winner at least. But yeah, its amazing how the slightest negative slope in a graph this big can make you feel like such a shit, and after looking at it from space and seeing everything it's like "omg stfu, thats nothing." That's what I think whenever I run bad.

Besides, when your equity comes back and your running without leg braces anymore, it all comes back quick. Whenever cards start hitting me again after a few back to back to back suckouts or whatever I immediately envision forrest gump running down a dirt road and his cheap ass metal leg braces exploding off, then he gets that look in his eye that says "WHAT NOW MUTHAFUCKA?"

problem is this is in BB, so it does matter, he obv hit a terrible patch at the HIGHEST limit he's played, i feel the pain there. but helps to think graphs will always go in your favor if u dont let these things affect your game.

this 60k downswing is nothing compared to your 90k downswing between 90 and 190k hands!

true =) but during that downswing I was tilted to all hell and spewing like crazy. During this downswing I've been really disciplined, moved down a bunch and avoided a lot of tilt. I have had a few shitty tilty sessions though, so there's definitely room for improvement. But it sucks to have the downswing last so long when I'm doing such a better job at dealing with emotions and playing much better poker.
