everyone probably has a different definition of the term lonely

i'm massively torn.

on one hand i have way more friends than any person could ever need and for the most part everyone loves me and stuff.

on the other hand though I don't have the attention of the other sex adequately in my life at the moment so i feel lonely in that aspect, i dunno how to vote.

i have a girlfriend at the moment, but even then, at times i can still feel lonely.
i agree with nolan that everyone's definition of lonely can be different, so it all depends on the person

i'm sure many poker players are lonely, since it is a pretty lonely profession.

Yup and it sucks.
I'm probably at the worst moment in my life atm.
Studies going bad, no motivation for almost anything.

But at least ... I STOPPED bw and i read way less TL.
Another good thing is that i might get two jobs this summer ( after probably having failed my exams lol ) and i'm a winner @ sng 3,4$ over a 200 games sample ( lololol ).
Gonna buy a screen soon with the money

But i still don't know what i will do next year.

The way I've seen loneliness divided in the past are these two types.

Emotional Loneliness = Lacking in the desired quality, intimacy, and closeness of relationships.

Social Loneliness = Lacking in the sheer number of friendships and connections with others.

So a person can be emotionally lonely despite having loads of people they consider to be friends if the desired closeness isn't there in the relationships . Dunno if that helps you clarify for your poll any more than it is but yeah might help.

no clarification is necessary at all. when you're lonely, you know it. if the thought hadn't occurred, you know you're content.

i don't think i am, don't have a girlfriend or anything, but as long i have my friends and family, i don't think i will be. If it is the same case when i am out of college for 3 or 4 years, then I may feel different.

where is the /wrists option?

living with 4 friends, not so much. would like some more privacy though
