This guy donk bets the PFR 90 percent of the time. and his flop aggression was over 3.9 at 79% percent. Now at first when he donk bet i was like ok w/e i'm pretty sure i got the best hand so i'll raise see what he does. Then he RE raises. MY isntant reaction was to push all in but then i started to think to myself and was like would he do this with a10?! So the more i thougt about it the more i was worried he had me beat, but i couldn't help notice how aggresive he was on the flop and how often he donk bets the flop so i had to call in my eyes. Is it a bad play? This is what drives me nuts. Holdem manager made me call, but my instincts told me to fold.

Start to rely on your feeling as well. Don't ALWAYS make a decision based on HUD. If you KNOW or are reallllly sure that you are beat, fold. HUDs an amazing tool but sometimes I feel people rely on it too much.

I would rely on ranges and instintcs far more than on HEM

However in this case its pretty close
if he really donkbets so often his range here is AJ ,A7 ,JJ ,77,AK for value + AT, Ax for semi bluff + Any air for bluff

As u shove flop he will only call his value range and fold his air range.
However after his 3 bet he has so few behind to u that u must get it in on flop or Turn anyways

So the real Question is

1.Is it a good idea to raise this flop vs this villian ? ( if he 2nd barrels a lot with medium hands f.e u would get out another turn bet by a range that u beat)
2. if u raise flop u should always know what to do if villian calls or raises in before your action takes place ^^!
if u dont know this -> dont raise

U see what i did there with A8 ? He 4 bets and there we go insta jam A8 : ---booooom -- . hahahaha ( Krantz)Last edit: 20/05/2009 04:48
