2009 graph, since I returned to play in march, the downswing started at may 31, and since then, I didn't make not even one positive session, I'm running like shit and my confidence is gone, so I guess I'm playing bad too
around 29buyins down counting nl50 + nl25 in the last 13k hands
I tried to take 3 days off, but it didn't worked
I currently play nl50 at pokerstars, I tried to move down to nl25, but the same shit happened
and still have around 45bi to play nl50 in my bankroll
but I'm stucked for a looooong time ( like one year )between nl25 and nl50, maybe because I cashout every month, but I think I can't have a decent winrate at nl50, like 3BB+
I can't take too many days off, because I don't work and my only money comes from poker
what should I do ? I should move to an Euro site and play 76 tables and be a rakeback nit ? pay a coach ? kill myself ? quit poker ?
stop whining because 29 is standard ?

Downswings happen.
Just review and analyze your sessions and stay in the game.

I played on entraction, and altough i thought that NL20/NL50 were pretty easy, playing at NL100 was the worst thing i ever done. So little fish and so many good regs. I can say this tough, that it might be nice to have a job while you grind trough the levels. Maybe a 2-3days/week, lets you take breaks without having to beg.
gl hf, i hope you'll grind trough your downswing |

get job> save bankroll > improve > move up > profit > quit job > become pro > downswing > repeat |

here is what you should do:
keep moving down to you get your confidence back. Aim to crush a limit for a certain number of buy-ins.
read his penultimate blog post http://drizztownage.liquidpoker.net/
spend some time everyday focusing on improving. analyze hands, write your reasons for acting on each street, use pokerstove to find your equity in hands, figure out your fold equity in possible bluff spots.
and/or get a coach. if you play fullring or HU I might be available to help you there for a small hourly fee. |

DOOMSWITCH!
Good advice. Ignore BR, Move down even to NL2 if necessary if you keep losing On NL25,10 5 etc ( would take a limit of 3BI's for each limit)
When you beat the limit 8bb/100 over 1k hands take 'shots' at higher one until you are back to NL50.
I wish I had done this, I lost exactly the same amount as you did and I just kept grinding NL25. |

Yeah I'd consider moving some money to a different site, especially one that has generally softer competition and play there to see if it makes a difference in the mean time - during any downswings. Absolute Poker is pretty good though you probably have some better options. |
