I started playing poker again about a month ago and decided not to buy hem or pt3 because I thought I could easily beat 25NL. Well, it didn't work out quite well and after 30k hands or so I was breakeven and coincidentally my friend had an extra cd key for HEM and I bought it off of him. The graph is my results after getting HEM.
A couple of questions regarding HEM.
1) Looking at my non showdown winnings it looks terrible but after thinking about it, it seems to make sense (in my own world) that the money lost there would be where I would take a stab at the pot and fail and usually give up. The common advice given to many 25NLers is to never bluff so I guess it makes sense in a way where I would try to take down the pot on the turn, on a checked flop with 2 overcards and if I get called just give up. Hence the negative showdown winnings. If I'm wrong, I would love to be corrected
2) What does steal mean?
I'm rolled for 50NL and gonna move up after playing about a week at 25NL. Weeeeee

Nice job. I started on the same path as you about 3 week ago except I'm only just hitting the 10k hands played mark now. I should probably play longer sessions. Where were you playing and how many tables at a time? |

steal= attempt to steal the blinds (raise when everyone before you has folded) |

I play stars and usually 8-9 tables. But when I'm watching hulu or a tv show I downloaded on my laptop probably 6. But nothing lower than that. This is all 6max. |

You can bluff at micro stakes, you just need to pick your spots really well. |

Oh also I'd check to see how much your getting killed in the blinds, that could be a lot of your non-showdown losses.. |

I think your redline looks really nice. You barely loose anything, and you get alot of showdownwinnings. Focus on other things before caring about the redline imo. |

Having a loosing redline mainly comes from the blinds. Play more hands in the other positions and you will be fine. But to do that, you have to cut down on the number of tables. If you play 6+ tables you have to play tighter and more straightforward. With that playstyle a negative redline is standard. |
