me and my girlfriend are in usa (lancaster, PA) at this moment and will be going to new york in a week and a half so if anyone have some ideas of what to do there we appriciate that.
Also we wanna know if theres any possibility we could go out on clubs (either of us are 21, both 19) and if we could buy alcohol on resturants/stores or if we will have to be sober for two weeks

ur gonna end up being sober for 2 weeks unless u find places that don't card...US really needs to lower it's drinking laws >.< |

First thing you have to do in NY is eat. Seriously, there isn't any city in the world that prepares as many cuisines on a world class level. I don't know what your price range is, but some cool deals include:
Lunch @ Jean-Georges for $28. http://www.jean-georges.com/ . It's a michelin 3-star for $28 a person, seriously
Vietnamese sandwiches (banh mi) @ baoguettes. http://www.baoguettecafe.com/ ridic good, and I imagine hard to find in europe
Pizza @ Joes, Totonnos, etc,
and pretty much anything else. www.nyt.com ---> dining and wine ---> restaurant reviews can find you anything you want and they have pretty exacting standards.
If money isn't an object I recommend in no particular order:

The Modern (I prefer the bar room, like any of these places it's too classy to card)

Honestly NY, is a city with so much random stuff that you'll probably get the most out of it be just waking around and doing random stuff. There's always a million random cool shows and stuff if you're into that, but walking around and improvising is probably best. If you run out of stuff to do, any NY guidebook should have touristy ideas.

we also thought that it would be cool to go to the place where they film how i met your mother (if that is in nyc?)
and if anyone has any thoughts about hotels in manhattan that would be awesome as well we have looked at best western presidential suite and podhotel which seems ok |
