So i've been playing online for about a year now, playing low stakes and doing ok, but I've never gone to a casino. I'd like to give it a shot, just for fun. I don't even know what kind of games the casinos near me have, but i know they probably don't have much. So the only limits their are probably much larger than any i've played online. How many buyins do you think I'd need in my bankroll, to have a decent shot playing at a casino?

The times i've gone I've just brought 3-5 BI's, more like a shot than a bankroll... So you don't really need a bankroll unless you plan on grinding it.

Well I'm not really talking about how much to bring with me, I'm talking about how much "poker playing money" I should have to my name before I go. I mean, I'm not really comfortable using my entire savings as a bankroll.

10buyins

I have learned from poker that being at the table is not a grind, the grind is living and poker is how I pass the time

It depends on a couple of things

- are you taking a shot or trying to start grinding it?

- how easily can you replace lost moneys IRL?

I play casino / live games when I have some extra spending money, and if I win then I just use that as a bankroll. In order to grind you'd need at least 10bi to start off. A good rule is to only bring ~3 BI with you to the casino, you never really want to lose more than that.

As a bankroll i say like 10bi if your a good live player. As said before , dont bring more than 4 Bi for 1 session cause live play is a bit tiltier than online (to me anyways) when the biggest fish at your table is running hot its hard to leave!!! lol
GL at takng a shot..

So many fish but so little time to go fishing!
