so help me review a few hands plz? some of these spots are kinda trivial :/
<3 to anyone who does ~
comments here or directly on the hands is ok
1. http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/720305 my shove over short stack is retarded right? i mean lots of bad ppl wouldn't raise AA KK QQ JJ AK TT here...i think my shove only folds out AK JJ TT. but even if i min raise i feel like that would pot commit me to a reshove. which leaves a flat call but that seems inviting to the guy behind me.
2. http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/720304 standard double barrel against an A high flop. But is it worth it with my hand or is it spew? Flush draws (with backdoor straight possibilities), and lower PP will prob fold to double barrel, but i doubt that any Ax would call me down.
3. http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/720303 (limp calling in the sb is such a bozo move, i wish i had just raised it) 3 card straight flush on the flop, lots of cards to help me check raise turn, almost just decided to check raise turn. guys range is mostly broadway cards and pp? maybe broadway cards will check turn as my perceived range seems to have hit this board (but villian prob does not think about perceived ranges)
4. http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/720302 pretty frequent squeezer. he likes to squeeze with AT+ and sometimes PP. I think he tends to call with pp and is fine with setmining. Does my minraise get him off of AT+ (AK?), and lower pp? It seemed to me like the right play. His cbet on flop was automatic which was odd.
5. http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/720301 looking back clear reraise to 4.5-6 seems alot better. AJ KJ QJ possibly with flush draws, lots of pair+ flush draws, sets, and possibly 99, J9, T9, and other pair + straight draws. wats best line here to take? bet half the pot and call a shove?
6. http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/720300 didn't c-bet flop, some missed spade draws, and straight draws, but he checked back on the flop. not much i can beat here. i don't know if he's an idiot who may vbet worse here. i don't think he has KT/QT/JT, but 99, 88 may have made a play here.
7. http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/720299 should i check turn here, since Jx will bet the turn for me, and will also allow lower pp and other garbage to barrel me?
8. http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/720298 shove here is slightly confusing, cause the shortstack fish was in the pot. i thought a call would invite the fish to join the fire, but the shove i thought indicated AK or QQ, TT, 99. Should I be raising this? Flatting seems sooooo nitty. Also, we played a few hands, and i think he knows i'm a solid player. so i think my perceived range is slightly wider than it actually is (more AK AQ hands)

Use [spoiler][hand=xxxxx][/ spoiler] without the space so I can open them right in your post, opening so many new windows is real annoying |

hand 1 & 2 are fine imo
hand3 I think all streets are pretty bad, calling oop because you have backdoor draws is pretty silly, unless you think he's giving up the turn a ton so you can just bet the river and win but even then against that type of player u can prolly just c/r flop
hand4 first off he's not squeesing here, he's just 3betting. I think folding pf here is the best play the vast majority of the time. on this flop I doubt you folded out any hand that beat you or had significant outs against you.
hand5 you could 3bet a little bigger here considering there's a caller, like 4-5 but with this hand I dont think 3betting small is bad. on the flop I usually bet small in 3bet pots but on a board like this I think its fine to bet big aswell, you should obv never fold.
hand6 I would never expect this to be a bluff, he probably slowplayed trips or rivered a boat or w-e.
hand7 how can Jx bet for you when you're in position? you could check back to get more value from his weaker hands but I dont think you can expect players to be aggressive even with hands they should be, he might have like J5 and just c/c the river after you check back. peeling this flop he has a ton of weak hands like random overs or A-high and stuff but I dont think you're getting value from that anyways unless it improves anyway so I would just keep betting on the turn expecting 55-99 / Jx / Tx / 4x to keep calling.
hand8 you're probably not getting it in great when you 4bet JJ here but it doesnt play super well 3way in a bloated pot anyways and whats going to happen most of the time is the guy who 3bet folds and then the fish calls again and you're crushing his range.

1st hand looks fine
2nd seems spewy without more info, also buyin full -_-
3rd yeah raise/fold pf. floating this flop hoping to pick up a draw that you can c-r the turn with is all kinds of bad because a) being blind vs blind you probably dont have fold equity against a pair and b) you presumably don't know what his 2-barreling frequencies are. not to mention the times when you hit a 9 or J and he continues applying pressure on turn/river. really really bad
4th probably fold pf. after that i would just flat the flop, there's lots of turn cards that are bad for him to 2-barrel.
5th i would go 4.5 pf, as played flop is fine/standard.
6th there's some people who will just always have it here, but without having a read that he's one of these passive nits i would look up his river raise.
7th is fine. if you think he has lower pp's (or is just FOS) very often here you can bet a little less on the turn like 3.5, but nothing wrong with the way you played it.
8th seems fine, probably pretty thin if the initial 3bettor is solid tho. |
