just wanted to let you know that in my quest to improve. i made some changes in the strategy. i implemented a stop loss. if i lose 3 buy-ins to a single opponent, i will quit him no matter what.
this took me a long while to decide because i think there are disadvantages. i'ts very much possible in a somewhat active HU to get 3 buyins behind to an opponent you think you have a very big edge on. and while losing you do gain some information about your opponent and you may have established a favourable image to get paid off in the near future.
on the other hand. i might be steaming a little bit more then is optimal. then there is the theory of the information disadvantage. i don't remember where i read this. i thought it was deucescracked. in a nutshell the article said that when you are losing hard to an opponent in headsup. it's very likely that he gains a lot of information about the "bottom of your range" in certain spots where you learn nothing about his because he is showing all "top of his range" cards that anyone would have played like that.
another adjustment is that i'm going to tighten up from the BB. i am defending a little bit too light i think. my range is probably good against opponents who open 80%+ on the button but what i found out the last couple of days is that most of my opponents actually open about 60%-65%. they are pretty tight in position. and i think i gave them too much action. i did tighten up against these villains but not enough.
let's see how this works out.
