You pretty much have to call this imo, you also misplayed every street...
fold or raise preflop, check-fold flop, crai or check-call on turn imo. The way the hand has been played it's really weird for him to bet with something that doesn't beat you now, but it's a $10 tournament so he could be turning 99-AA into a bluff without realizing it. In my mind you still have to call it. |

lol, i don't know what i'm talking about ok. limp-calling from SB is obviously an awesome play, continuing to float the flop oop, after hitting the nuts you lead 1/3 the pot and on the river you check intending to fold to a bet? |

I meant check-fold flop as played, not if you had raised preflop |

i support barbieman in that you misplayed every street(pf, flop, turn) and the options he offers you are much better...

Although I would raise/fold preflop Most of the time. I don't think limp/calling is a mistake though. I think You should have bet the flop though. I would definitely Bet flop.. or Check/fold. Check/calling was bad |

1. open raising from the SB is a stupid idea, especially with a hand like J8s, when he raised, i called cuz i feltl ike it, its called gambling
2. that flop is not scary at all, and his bet was very suspect, so i called to see what he would do on the turn
3. on the turn, i wanted info, so i put in 40% of the pot....if he's bluffing he'll fold, if he has something he might raise or call then tilt call all in on river...
you cant always play hands 'by the book'.....you wont make money....and if i was him on that play, i would have played pre and post flop the same way with ANY 2 cards
also....folding preflop is stupid, u cant always fold half decent hands pre....once again, ull never make money, u have to mix it up |

i actually wanted to check raise flop, but i honestly didnt put him on a big hand.....put him on AK AQ AJ KQ KJ....so i wanted to see the turn....if i hit an 8 i would have been ready to ship it in, if i hit my straight i wanted to get all his chips, so i wanted him to catch up....when the river came a club i knew i was behind, thats why i said what i did in the chat....i knew he hit that flush....and the only reason i called river is because i would have had a lot of chips left if i lost, and if i won i would have a huge stack to run the table.....i just wasnt sure if he would bet the river so big with a flush cuz the board was paired (i had no info)....a good player would have prolly checked behind or valued....it was VERY suspect so i called hoping he was jus pure tilt bluffing river |

end of the day, i called river after tanking cuz after all it was only an $11 tourney, lol, and i was playing 3 other tables at the same time, and cuz i would have had enough chips to get my chips back.
he flipped over KQsuited clubs for the flush and the win....
i got my stack back a bunch of hands later, and had an M of 18 at one point again, but i got crippled with AA vs TT, then i was down to an M of 4 and lost with AK to KK, i was dominated but yea |

OP:
Don't post hands asking for advice if you aren't going to accept it. It's not often where multiple posters from LP will tell you you misplayed a hand and be wrong.
I'll join them in expressing my opinion - you misplayed every street on this hand. |

it looks like a very simple fold...you're still pretty deep if you fold here. also i hate limping...and also i agree that you misplayed every street. unless you checked the river to get villain to bluff at the pot then you have to call. |
