Soooooo unproductive. There are valid arguments against what the dems are doing with healthcare, unfortunately the opposition doesn't know what they are, so they are going with this crap, which plays into the hand of the left, who are able, quite rightly, to label the opposition as whack jobs.

Stopped after "thank you for letting me keep my health insurance, thats my right, it's mine not yours". Whats that thing he's holding in front of him while he reads? Is that paper? With words written on it? Like a script? Thought so. This jackass spent all week coming up with some righteous sounding speech, showed up to this event, and proudly stands around looking for the cameras so he can get a little youtube airtime. Maybe get Hannity to fly his family out to the Fox News studio for an all expenses paid weekend so he can get on TV and give a shout out to the boys at home. Get a nice pat on the back at his local hangout when he returns.
ultimately, everything this cocksucker did was completely self-serving and in vain. He doesnt even know what the words coming out of this mouth mean. Probably all a mish-mash of things picked from talk radio hosts, water cooler gossip at the work place, and of course his commanding overlords on fox news. This man could never hold a dicussion about the very problems he brings up. He would instantly freeze, and spiral downward into a bunch of drivel throwing out buzzwords like "uhh errrhhmm, CONSTITUTION... um yea well, CRONIES IN WASHINGTON!.... oh yea, socialism!".
The man doesnt know what he's saying, plain and simple. He's just saying it because he thinks it sounds good. And these people still fail to ask questions from the heart. Oh they may have a few planned questions, but they also have pre-planned responses to those questions, not making questions at all. These people are phonies, theyre hacks. They live boring lives and get a rush out of having something to be angry about. Nothing more than a bunch of attention whores.
bye now

I believe there are some passionate lefties among this group who believe in Obama and what the dems are up to at this time, and consider it change, progress, whatever. But it's not. It's the status quo, only the names have changed.
Here's the deal kids . . .
Insurance is the problem. It is the cause of high health care prices. The insurance companies have no interest in bringing down the cost of care, because those high costs make their product more attractive. It plays into their marketing. It doesn't make them evil for making a buck. Demonizing them for turning a profit is the same as demonizing Elky for winning so much. But the insurance industry is driving prices up. You can not bring down those costs by expanding insurance coverage. What the congress is debating right now is just another tax and spend proposal that will neither improve care nor lower prices.
A tax payer funded system, where all Americans (read that citizens of the United States) can seek treatment without charge would not make us a socialist country. I think the comparison to publicly funded police, fire, etc., is a valid one, and it has swayed my view on this subject. It would be expensive, it would cost the economy an entire industry, thousands and thousands of jobs, but it can be done. And when I look at the way our government pisses away money for pointless bullshit, I think the money can be better spent, and the health care of our people is a better way to spend the money.
With a single payer system. the government can fix prices in a way they can't do now. An example . . . I'm a contractor that does business in the private sector and some government work. The government work comes with a lot of restrictions and making money is sometimes harder than the work in the private sector, so I can do little government work as long as there is private sector work to do. Take that away, and I am stuck with the government work, with whatever restrictions they put on it, because it's the only game in town. That's how you lower costs.
Both the Dems and the GOP are sellouts who are bound to special interests, both sides are wrong and missing the point. The GOP looks incredibly stupid at this point, but the Dems have the ball and are running in the wrong direction with it.
You decide which is worse, but to me it's the same. Business as usual, over the years I have seen it again and again.
tomorrow, for sure

What America needs is a stronger primary election process. Incumbents are protected by their parties, and regardless of their performance, they are only challenged by the other party, and in most cases, even if people realize the politician has done nothing for them, he's still the representative of their chosen party and they will vote for him anyway. Incumbents need to be held accountable for their performance, challenged from within their own party, then they will have to actually do what they say they are going to in order to keep their jobs.

Since you are on the health care topic, I wanted to take this opportunity to answer a question from one of your previous blog post:
On August 20 2009 23:48 ToTehEastSide wrote:do you think everyone's health records, from yours to your grandmothers etc health should be a public or private matter?
Health records are never really a private matter if you think about it. Insurance companies have all your health records and use the information to prevent people from getting insurance or coverage, and to find reasons not to pay our claims. Most of the American population uses employer-based health care coverage and are too often subject to the vagaries of an HMO or managed care where a plan administrator (not the doctor and certainly not the patient) is making binding health care decisions.
Also, I hope you were not posting this video to make a point. Dumbass is an understatement Morons like these are not helping your cause.
A few weeks ago at a town hall meeting held by Rep. Robert Inglis (R-SC): someone told Inglis, "Keep your government hands off my Medicare." and he had to explain to the man that his health care was being provided by the government. Sadly there is no video footage,LOL
