So basically I have a bit over 1k in my checking account.
So I send in a rent check for $545. Real estate company says they didn't get the check, so I send in another one. They magically find the other one and cash both. Checking account balance = $106.37
Over the summer I lived in another apartment where I paid the electric bills. I canceled my account 4 months ago and they said they would send me the last bill in the mail. My account was on autopay, so it took the last bill directly from my checking account 3 months ago, which was fine. Today, they decided that they didn't charge me enough and took an additional $106.77 from my checking account.
End result, checking account overdrafts by 40 cents.

Lesson learned: $1000 is not a lot of money. |

...annoying. I'd really try to get that money back, it's more than what an avg job pays per week = 40h of work. Worth alot of effort to get back unless you wipe ur ass with hundred dollar bills. |

yeah i made every effort possible to have my bank reimburse my overdraft fees. Its much more effective if you go in person looking suave for 15 minutes and explaining your situation. My bank has returned 2 of my fees but said STOP OVERDRaFTING LOL after the third time and I got slapped with -$38 fine
if anything it sounds like the real estate company's fault i'd try them first. i mean fuck that, they don't have my permission to doublecharge my bank account wtf? |
