the last week ive been playing only NL5 about 12k hands and my bankroll is exactly -1$ from where i started a week ago. i read the low stakes poker hand threads here and read the microstakes guide someone posted in my last blog. im applying the stuff said in there, my vpip is always between 17-20%, i win about 60% of my showdowns and i dont know what im doing wrong. after most 1k hand sessions i still sit at every table with my original buy-in take or give 1$. maybe its my betting pattern, but i couldnt find much more advice than bet strong if you have the best hand. could anyone recommend me articles about betting patterns at microstakes, or give me some little more specific advice on how and which amounts to bet?
thanks in advance to everyone who replies.

12k hands can involve alot of variance to be honest, even though it's not as swingy at those stakes, you could definitely have been running slightly bad and the betting was probobly a bit off the first 6k hansd or so I guess. But really, at those stakes the best advice is bet about as close to pot as possible with good hands. |

i realize 12k is not a very big sample, but wouldnt there at least be ups and downs if alot of variance was involved. i cant post my graph because im not on my computer, but my graph is like a horizontal line. in contrast to that moving up from 2NL went really fast, and everyone tells me play 2NL and 5NL the same |

Best thing to do is to post some hands, I tried to check your hands list to give you some tips, but you havent upped any yet. Next time you play just grab some hands you werent sure on and upload them here, you'll get lots of advice this way. Its hard for people just to say "play 18/16" or something because you will probably misinterpret it in different ways and postflop play matters a lot too. |

maybe your graph looks like this?:
your win with showdown is kinda high, check if went to showdown isn't too small. use HEM's "Plugging Leaks" articles, to tune it up. |
