Progress and some thoughts about cheating. |

Yesterday I played my 9th session at the local casino...made a profit of 8.1k(405bb) after 2hrs play only...The winning concept was to play at a soft table, play good, win big pots with strong hands and fold crap. Won like 2k with AK vs 66, 2k with KK vs ?? and ??.
But yesterday I will not remember as my biggest winning session so far,but instead for being one of the suspected cheaters at the table. What happened was that the dealer had to change deck several times during a very short period of time since some cards got scratched with a nail or something at the back. This happened last sunday also when I was playing. I got scared because I was the only one playing both times, and when the floor manager told the dealer to check who folded what cards I almost tilted when I finally called a straddle with J9s only to hear the hand after that a J was marked..lool! Got so scared that they would suspect me and ban me from my newly found goldmine! However, when I got home I started to think about the whole thing. The situation has occured 2 out of 9 times and the only thing in common is that I've been sitting at the same fucking table...lol it must be the automatic dealer machine that scratches the cards! Now I don't know if I should say this to the casino or if that only makes me more suspicious? Maybe just should avoid table no 9!
Another related question? What can the merit be of marking the back of a deck that you don't deal yourself in a way that can't be recognized by the eye???It is always the dealer that feels with his fingertips that some card is marked but I have never seen anything!?

well think about it from their perspective. you have been winning (not lots but note worthy) so you're instantly on their radar. The establishment is putting it out there that a possible method of cheating has been discovered and whoever is fucking with the cards better wise up. If you don't return to the card tables the suspecting cheating has been rectified, and if you return no one is dumb enough to keep marking cards lol.
but all fantasies aside you have nothing to worry about, cooperate with any questions they might have and you might even get some "compensation" for troubling you. Just be gracious and subcommunicate that you're on the up n up.

Hmm i'm just worried that they suspect me cuz I've been sitting at the strange table twice. But hopefully the got it all on camera or something and I can show that first time I lost and second time I folded like every single hand...Also I can show that 7 other times when I've been winning no problem has arised...eventhough it is a bit annoying with a floor manager rushing around..lost game-control..didn't want to look at cards in my usual way and got out of focus...so I'd head home instead...will take paus for 2days and play again on saturday on any table except no 9! |

I think you are just too paranoid here. It's not the KGB homegame.
You have nothing to worry about until they actually do investigate you or something (and even then they can't prove shit - they have cameras you know, which will prove your innocense). Besides i think if they regulary got the problem from the same table it's kind of obvious it's something wrong with the shuffle machine?

Yup i'm totally paranoid...cuz if you get banned from Cosmo you're out of legal CG as you know due to the monopoly situation. But I'm also on the camera track and the table no 9 thing. Gotta get those thoughts out of the system and just grind more winnings =) |
