Hope I do this right, never posted a hand before...but was this a good fold? I assumed he had a higher pocket pair than I did since he opened with a raise and then came back over the top...I'm not really too bothered by the hand, just kind of curious.

This is very player dependent. Vs someone who calls 3bets often this is a snap 3bet flop/get it in. But if the player is passive post or nitty pre then you can probably actually find a fold here as being profitable.

no thats not a good fold

if he had QQ+ he would prob 4bet pf plus he wouldnt make the flop raise so big probably

especially when you bet so small on the flop, ur gonna induce bluffs more often

Thanks for the feedback guys. I realize my previous blog posts have been very bad and mostly just frustrated outbursts, so I'm working on not venting here because bad beats happen to everybody and nobody really gives a shit.

Haha, looking back on it, I typically would have re-raised. Something spooked me though, I don't know what it was but I just tweaked and gave in.

That was another possibility, but I don't think he'd raise preflop with X3...

yea in all seriousness i dunno how i feel about this fold... i mean he is raising a LOT of big blinds here and thats what a lot of ppl are failing to realise.. a raise to 42 big blinds usually means serious stuff... so it really is player dependent, i think usually he will show up with a better hand here so dont feel too bad about a fold. it looks pretty close though, so get some stats to make a better read next time =)

the big raise means he has a middle pair who dont wanna give free cards to AK
