Ok so for the first time in 6 months (since i used to work there), i was able to enter my local casino last night. They were spreading a game called "half pot limit omaha". Not a mixed game, but an omaha game instead at half pot limit, not pot limit. so i'm assuming you're always getting 3:1 on your call.
i'm guessing that some preflop strategy changes will need to be made. the play preflop involves a lot of limpers, and half pot means you cant isolate them.
also, because of the half pot regulation, i think flop strategy should involve a LOT of check raising, and folding the nuts on the flop more frequently than you would in PLO (e.g. if your have like A267 on a 345 flop no redraw, you might have to give it up to substantial action which may mean sets/flush draws/straight+ flush draws).
anyway, what are your thoughts on strategy changes or tips on this game?
thanks people
may your cards always be sooooted (or double sooooted here)
