Irony in having a few comments somewhat critical about materialism then post about buying $3k watches? Some might say.

open up a restuaunt, or a small shop. Then play poker on the side, you can still do all you want now, but then you'll have that one thing that causes a little steadiness in life

Say this outloud! Why was six afraid of seven?......Because Seven Eight Nine

idk if this applies to you but a long time ago i sometimes got lazy or just tired due to mass grinding and didn't want to analyse hands i'd played. This is pretty devastating over the long term and its shit you should constantly pay attention to and analyse. Idk anything about your game or what you do off the table but you need to focus in on losses/badly played hands, if you think you played a couple hands bad just stop your session, take a break, come back and review the hands.. then rinse/repeat till you start doing better.

Also, try get someone to sweat you? This can be incredibly helpful especially while downswinging.

you are my hero... keep up the good work do whatever you want to do but don't take things for granted like you said. I have found out on september poker might not be for me and i cahsed out 2/5ths of my roll cuz i was so scarred by huge downswing after mega upswing. Since like the 7th of september ive yet to play a hand of cashgame dunno if/when ill be back. It's funny cuz i moved up to 200nl doing my normal 6 tabling and told myself the swings didn't affect me... which didnt for the most part but bad luck and not the most optimal plays got the best of me on september so i stopped playing and focusing on music, school etc. Hopefully ill be back on the grind soon cuz i have somehwat huge spending habits :d
