I have not updated my blog in while since I have have little time to play poker lately. I've tried to make stabs at higher limits but after losing significant buyins I always drop back to NL2 because I feel that it is my comfort zone. I believe that my play style at this limit is very effective however it does not typically work in my favor at higher limits.

So far this is my life time history at NL2

I just started playing NL10 recently. My sample size of hands is only about 5000, but I think i'm going to try to stick to this limit for now. One thing I have been doing new lately is not relying on stats from Hold'em Manager entirely. I have encountered some situations where I find myself trying to analyze other players hand ranges.

For example, in this hand the player is running 25/22. I saw that he reraised with hands like AK, KQ, high pocket pairs, and *loves to slow play*. Although, he would limp suited connectors and would just call raises with small pocket pairs. If he had the K why check raise me with the best hand? I'm not sure if I played this hand right. I think this is one of the few occasions when I have reraised someone with middle pair. I will post the result of the hand later, but any *constructive* suggestions or criticism would be appreciated.

u raised preflop. if he leads into you this is called a donk lead.
-if you raised preflop it is safe to assume you will c-bet most flops.
-if you c-bet most flops if he has nothing he will check/fold. if he has something strong he can check/raise. had he just lead into you he may force you to fold air. instead he is trying to get your c-bet into the pot, so he can c/r.

since u are beginning, try and introspect and see what hands you do what with. in general it's a safe assumption other ppl will take similar lines with similar hands.

the above hand i think is an easy fold. but i've played with that player a while ago. the only thing that sticks out is that he berated me for calling his all in shove when i had AK (he had 44's) and tried to explain to me why i made the wrong play. he is a douche

anyway the proper way to play the above hand:
1) check flop or bet flop.
-a] so u decided to check flop. you have 2nd pair. it is ok to pot control here. your hand is good most of the time. a Q or T gives you more outs. if he checks again i think betting is good.

-b] so u decided to c-bet this flop. u have 2nd pair. it is good most of the time. flush draws and straight draws will call you. however most of these flush draws and straight draws may have overcards as well; giving them great equity and making a flop c-bet somewhat thin. however they fold a ton here on the flop so this is a +e.v play. but when they call they prob have very good equity. since they have great equity expect to be check/raised here on occasion and you will be forced to muck your hand here. if they flat, continue with caution; trying to get 2 barrels of value may or may not be greedy.

Haha, I know this is a ridicules amount of hands at this limit.

Anyways, I appreciate the advice. I think 90% of the time most players would have had me here and folding would have been the right move.
