Guys need some advice. Looking to buy a new laptop and not sure which direction to go. Ive used windows computers for a while but im thinking of making the transition to a Macbook. I know PT is tough to run on there but I despise all the anti-virus crap that windows computers forces you to install. However, if it is the right laptop I will consider grabbing one. Any thoughts or ideas are warranted. Thanks guys.

I know nothing about computers. The last 2 I had was given to me from my college so if I just had an issue I would bring it to the lab. LOL. |

man windows owns MAC is so many different ways, especially with the release of windows 7, id stay with PC.
in regards to laptops coming pre-loaded with un-wanted junk like virus scanners etc, you can always reformat your self or request a clean format when you purchase your laptop so you can determine what programs will be installed.

Go after small and portable. If I needed a laptop today I'd do macbook air. If you go PC don't buy anything other than lenovo. |

im pretty sure when u buy a laptop u can tell them not to put in the extra stuff besides what you really need.
I think the macs are awesome but the interface is a bit different and may take a little bit to get used to.

Do you have a desktop? I bought my laptop with poker in mind. I never use it for poker. I've found that when I do I play poorly.
When I do travel and play poker I pack a 24 inch LCD + Laptop.

if your a poker player, dont get a mac.. if your a normal person that doesnt have money to pretty much light on fire, dont get a mac.. laptop that is.. the new imac 27" is another story..
anyway get the cheapest laptop you can find that has a high res screen.. the ones that go 1920Xsomething.. that way its like playing on a 24"in monitor when u jump on your laptop. |

I also vouch for lenovo. My lenovo was only $550 at newegg.com and it works amazingly well with no frustration. Other people with their Dells and other brands seems to have some headaches with theirs. |
