Is it just me or is checkraising the only way to win those tournament ?
I mean, sure when the flop is like 2 colors, i find it rather rewarding to check and check behind and hope it's not a scary card on the turn?
I don't know, i've played like 50+ tournaments at low stake, and the fishes, even though they're missing a LOT of value by not betting here and there, they do love to check raise..
The tournaments where i've been the most succesful so far were when i check raised some of hands even though they could have had some straight draw or flush draw or scary figures (not all of them at the same time).
Keep in mind that i'm noob at mtts, but sometimes whenever i try to do a value bet they check raise out of nothing and that annoys me as i've to think everything from scratch and sometimes it hurts me...
I just don't understand how those players bet nowadays...
Or do i have to check raise from time to time to vary my style ? Even when there's a possibility of draw ?
Gah. I think i need to read something before my head explode. Just read Baluga/whale and it's nice, but i'm not sure it really works on nl2... >_<

If your OOP and are not the preflop aggressor I think check raising is the standard play rather than leading out. |
