So who's been geeking out on this show with me? C'mon, don't be embarrassed. If you clicked the blog title you probably either love the show (like me) or are curious about it, think it might be good.
Let's examine what this show is all about:
* Cheesy - Check
* Mediocre special effects - Check
* Main character that looks like link from Zelda - Check
* Female lead who's boobs hang out often - Check
* Ugly old dude that looks like really could be a wizard - Check
* Sword fighting - Check
* Using magic in the story to create unique story lines - Check
* Hot blond girl in red leather who dominates you with a pain inducing dildo - Check
Let's confirm with some photo evidence:
"I'm the Seeker and I'm ready to kick some ass... hey, where's my boomerang? And why isn't Epona here, I need a ride to the castle to defeat Gannond... I mean Lord Raul!"
"I'm the lead chick and this dress is built for cleavage, though this picture isn't so flattering"
"Ahh, there we go, one of my better cleavage shots"
"I'm an ugly old SOB but I can burn you with Wizards fire"
"Ready to be beaten... and love it?"
When they were first premiering the first season of this show they did a live interview with the actors who were filming in New Zealand on like channel 2... it was a horrible interview but I think that helped cause in my pitty for them I got curious about the show. Watched the first few episodes and was reminded of the old Hercules TV show with Kevin Sorbo. It was ok, not great, and I stopped watching.
Then I was watching TV late one night on Sci-Fi and they were doing a Seeker Marathon, but they were doing the episodes in some crazy random order. And the later episodes were pretty good and the story had gone in directions I hadn't predicted. I got curious again. So I went and found it on netflix and watched all of season 1. Totally loved it despite all the ways it's cheesy and stupid.
Season 2 just started and I saw the first episode and damn, wtf, everything went real bad real fast. Definitely gonna keep watching.
Btw my GF thinks the show is extremely stupid but she watches it with me sometimes cause she's way too nice. lol
On that note, who else is with me? Who loves this show?

found the show to be a fail, but mostly that was because i read the sword of truth series and was hoping it would stick closer to the books. chessy acting too. had all of season one on my dvr but never did get past the first episode. my bro liked it tho |

Yeah seems the people who read the book didn't like the show. I never even heard of the book and loved it. I also don't mind cheesy acting sometimes. Kinda like digging firefly. |

Read the book, have never tried the series. But there are so many good series that I dont think I'll ever have time for a cheesy one just for the fun of it. |

Question for those who read the book - does it end when he kills darken raul or does it keep going? Season 2 is on a whole new kick and I'm curious if that's part of the books. But please try to answer the question without giving any spoilers =) |

Book 1 ends with Richard killing Darken Rahl. There are 10 more books after that. 
I haven't watched any of season 2, but considering the huge deviations from the books in the first season, I doubt the second season has any resemblance at all to Stone of Tears. |

don't know how he dies in the tv series, but darken rahl dies when richard tricks him into opening the wrong box of orden. he sorta comes back later in other books but yah. did they even have the boxes of orden in the show? |

Yeah the boxes were in the show. In the show richard is putting together the boxes when raul stabs the boxes with the sword of truth and he bursts into flames. it was weird and not a very impressive ending. |

lol..thats sorta the finale in the last sword of truth book. not that youd know, but i think he started another series that ties into the sword of truth. only one book out so far, The Law of Nines, but i have a feeling he's gonna keep going. i liked the books, but he kinda gets preachy |
