OK, in the post below I became convinced, reluctantly, that a Jag is not sensible for me. Can anyone suggest a car type that is very reliable, has the power to tow a heavy trailer and I can buy from about £1k or so?

Researchers used brain scans to show that when straight men looked at pictures of women in bikinis, areas of the brain that normally light up in anticipation of using tools, like spanners and screwdrivers, were activated. | |

Does not compute. You'll need something along the lines of a truck and those hold their value very well so I don't think you will be able to find one in that price range.
Also, most high mileage trucks are maintenance hogs. |

Well, how heavy? I mean, what do you consider heavy? 500 lbs? 1000? 5000? It really just depends.. But yeah, it sounds like you need a truck, not a car. Trucks usually do hold their value pretty well, so you're definetly going to have to get something fairly old. The good thing about an older truck though is alot of the stuff you can fix by getting the parts at a junkyard. It definatly helps to have some sort of mechanical skills as well. Esp if you wanna save money by not taking it to a shop. |

why would you want a car tha can tow a heavy trailer lol... do you even need that kind of torque? because obviously what you ask is no possible, powerful cars costs more money. |
