Seems like someone hacked our friends at 2+2 and opening the forums sends (sent?) a trojan into your computer that seems to target poker related folders.
Anyone know anything about it? How risky is it? Who's behind it etc? I made this a blog post because I feel like it should be discussed but I don't want to sully a lp main forum with talk of this sort of thing. Anyone know anything?

If this is real you need to main forum post it. Many ppl go to both. I got a malware warning and just ignored it. |

I saw my browser catch that pop up and googled. Some people say it's something that vBulletin (their forum software) started putting into the header. Either way its malware and I'm running all my shit to get it off. |

it specifically infected only poker related folders on my computer, it's not just random malware. |

Sick coincidence. Earlier today, I visited watchmovies.net and got some "antivirus systems pro" malware and it's been a pain getting rid of it. |

Just a question, are you sure that it's targetting poker folders specifically, and that what was caught in your HEM folder wasn't just the left-overs of their false-positive they had about 1 month ago (iirc poison.something and backdoor.trojan were what was detected)?
I guess it depends on how often you run virus scans, but if you hadn't run one for a while it's possible that's what it was?

No because it also caught it as it was coming in, and hundreds of other 2+2 posters complained they were getting infected at the same time. |
