For more of a young college kid read of my goal, check here:

But yeah, I'm going to be grinding NL200 FR unless I have to move down because I'm 30k vpp away from SuperNova. I think I have to play somewhere in the range of 70-80k hands; if anyone has solid VPP/hand calcs at NL200 FR, I'd appreciate a more accurate count.

The most I've ever played in one month is about 45k hands, and I am a loser at NL200 FR in the small 8k hands I've played. I went over all those hands and it was a combination of running a bit bad (standard), and spewing horribly in many spots. I was waaaay overaggro during each shot. So wish me luck, because technically I'm going into the month shot-taking. I'm confident I'll be fine though, and if not, I'll just hurry up and regrind it back at NL100.

Wish me luck guys. In actuality it's not the monetary goal I want, but to prove to myself than I can really grind it out.

gl man, i think being supernova is really important if you wanna grind pokerstars. i have played a little over 100k hands @ 100nl this month and made about 38k vpps.

there are no facts only interpretations

Wouldn't make for a great prop bet unless people think I really suck at poker.

Otherwise the bet would be about if I'm capable of putting in a not very significant amount of hands for most midstakes grinders.

I think for nl200 it should be less than 80k hands for sure. I did this at the end of 2007, and I had to make 43k vpps - it was all 6 max tho.

Final graph was this:

85k hands, but about 10-15k of those were NL100 I would estimate.

Eitherway, good luck and make sure to give constant updates =]

They changed the way VPPs were distributed ;p? Since I'm talking about VPPs not $!

I think current Edzwoo is very likely way, way, way better than 2007 me anyway.

I mean seriously, December 2007 - this was like 3-4 months before anyone at low-midstakes had even started 4bet bluffing lol.

yo. gl in your prop bet.

I'm gonna be trying to do pretty much the same (max hours of 1/2 and 2/4...don't really do volume or $ goals anymore) for Dec. PM me if you want to talk hands or anything.

i think there is like a vpp calculator on pokerstars website you could check the number of hands you need at any level there.

lol I was looking at their faq and came across this gem, at the very end of the FAQ

# How much play does it take to earn a trip to the *WSOP main event?
# It depends on the individual's specific playing habits, but probably in the range of 250,000 VPP-earning hands or the equivalent in tournament play. For a player who plays four tables at a time for twenty hours a week, this can be accomplished in less than a year.

ITS SO EZ
