Ok, so im looking to get an apartment soon. I just dont know what to tell the landlords when they ask me what do i do for a living. Im obviously not gonna tell them ill pay the rent with my poker earnings :S
got any ideas?

also if you have enough saved (which I assume you would since it sounds like you play full-time) tell him the truth and if he's sketched out offer to pay 6 months up front. |

You should just say fitness consultant. But if your land lord is a fat chick, DO NOT TRY THAT, you will end up making food programs and diets and workout programs and all sorts of shit. |

Say you work for Cutco selling kitchen cutlery and doing demonstrations. Cutco employees are technically self employed (this you don't have to tell him obviously). This is what I told the guy before I signed the lease on my house, then I gave him cash for the first 2 months rent and my deposit. He didn't bother me about it at all. |

Depends on where you're moving to. Different places have different requirements.
In Texas you don't even need a job (because they can evict you post-haste if you don't pay). In a place like NY you have to jump thru so many hoops (hard to evict). |
