Don't be so harsh at yourself; Most people have shitty jobs because they can't do anything else (even though there are exceptions). If you can outplay people on a strategy game and profit at the same there is nothing wrong with it. I look up to those who are winners at this game (I am still a nl10/25 player : ( ).

You want parasites ? Lawyers, traders, speculators, and the list goes on and on...

poker has a parasitic effect on the economy. Its people acting voluntarily with each other though, so that can't be so bad. If you ban poker, you basically are saying the lottery should be illegal as well. Along with sports betting.
To call a drug dealer a parasite is bullshit, a drug dealer is way more productive than a poker player. A drug dealer is a productive member of society, hes just outlawed.
I don't hear you adding pharmaceuticalists to the list of parasites, drug dealer is no different.

I think the lottery is more moral than beating poker. Because the lottery is purely luck. You provide people with entertainment (they want to gamble). However, in poker, your decision to play well gives the other people less fun. So you are actually negative value to the poker players.

Nothing wrong with owning it up in poker as long as u got a certain degree of humility about it xD.

As long as others are not forced to play it's OK. I.e. if it their choice to play, you just play better. In that regard something like stock trading is way way more immoral, but most people are like "wow this guy works for Wall Street".

As about being productive-it's not indeed as productive as creating something like a car or being a doctor and see that you actually helped someone. But it's also not destructive or maybe is only destructive to a small extent.
