Ran massively above EV but I don't feel like I ran that amazing completely, or maybe I'm just deluded. For what it's worth I feel like this is just my EV evening out from 2009  . Either way I'm satisfied with the month, although this ends up being the worst january of my career (2008's January was +16k, 2009's January was +20k). Still though, if I can just clear 10k months consistently and hope to bink a tourney or two along the way I'd be amazingly happy and be able to hit my 200k year goal. I blame lackluster results on me spending a lot of time trying to figure out Stars' games and regs though, so hopefully I can do better in February now that I'm a lot more prepared for these games.

How are you finding the difficulty of PS compared to FTP? I think if you do the 50bb min only PS is much tougher  |

i play primarily 50bb tables unless it's at a very awkward hour (which happens occasionally since i'm on asia time -8gmt), and yeah i agree it's tougher. the player pool diversity at 50bb tables is similar to ftp 5/10 (obviously not in terms of skill or anything though, just talking about the fact that you play the same regs day in day out). Especially with the new anti-ss rule on FTP i imagine the FTP games are the best for 2/4 at this moment.
it's unfortunate but it's made me motivated to try to get much much better. So far I've made few strides strategically, but a lot of my edge now comes from singling out certain regulars who have very exploitative patterns, and ensuring my mental stability/focus is always top notch. |

I feel as if i see some new guys who seem to know what they're doing. Alot of them will be over-agro and 3-bet way too much though. I imagine that they are the FTP converts.
I want to get some $ on FTP I think since SNE is out of the picutre for me. |
