I’m kind of proud the way i’ve been playing recently so I thought I would post up some of my hands from a recent PLO10 session with my comments on how I played it and open it up for debate. I'm a relative Noob to PLO and have only been playing the game for around 3 months, but it's quickly become my most profitable poker variation.

Hand Notes

2010-02-08: Now I’m interested to see what people think of my play here? or is it standard play and just bad play by villain?

So i’m interested too see what people think. All feedback is welcome.

Now in follow up to the talk about PLO, I'd also like to ask the community about the training aids they use such as, instructional websites, books they read and tracking software? what are your preferences? If you guys could give me some recommendations I would appreciate it. I've used most of the tracking softwares but struggle with choosing the best one.

Til next time, Peace HK x

Prepare for 35BI BELOW ALL-IN EQUITY.
Plo is teh nuts at sklanskybucks.
Villain is obviously fresh out of NLHE and is screaming TP2TK.
Minraise on the turn is retarded though, unless you noticed earlier that villain is a retard, and that hand (NFDR+Top&Bottom) should most certainly be the worst hand you raise with for value on the turn.

I had a pretty good feel of how the villian was playing. what do you prefer as the play on the turn? smooth call or bigger raise?

If smooth call and c/f on none-deuce/ace/spade/king card
c/c on deuce and king
c/r on ace
If raise: You're pretty much going all in on any river, which is why I don't like it.

first 3 days i crushed that game then i felt the normal run of cards at plo was terrible. rake is a total motherfucker as you play a lot more hands too.

i've been playing PLO10 and PLO25, beat the game and steady build my bankroll. never found the rake to be much of an issue to be honest.
