Ridiculous Night... can't take it anymore |

I just played for about 4 hours and lost 14 buyins at 10 hu sng. I was up about 4 buyins and then went on a crazy downswing. I have been playing poker for a while now and have been grinding the 5 and 10 dollar sngs on ps and playing rush poker on full tilt and making a decent hourly rate. I had to shut down pokerstars because i felt a massive tilt coming.
Over the course of 14 or so heads up games i got it in with the best hand at least two times in a match and never won. It was the worst set of sucks out i have ever seen. Anyone have some advice on how to go on or if there were some better plays in some of the situations?
For a $600 roll on ps this was a huge hit. Guess these arn't considered "buyins" like cash games but still taking a 140 swing sucks

There are a few more. For some reason they don't show up on the HH, maybe i need to look back farther. I get one guy to stack off with jacks against my kings and spikes a jack on the flop. Another is where the guy open shoves 76o against my 3 bet AK and flops the gin straight.

This ^^^. Never get aces in PF when you're going to lose. And don't spike a set and lose as it hurts more somehow. |

aren't the swings pretty big in hu sng? its rough but you gotta learn to deal with it.. (yesterday was a day like you're describing and I made a lil whine post 'n such so I'm not just trying to preach haha, but making sure u know its something that happens and to just do your best, and don't play tilted) |

honestly there is NO way i believe that you lost 18 buy ins straight like the 3 coolers, you probably spewed at least 10 buy ins. but it is all mentally hard, im not trying to say that if you get these kind of coolers it is easy to continue. just that take a break 1,5 h and start again. Just got to quit earlier imo ... but that is just me ... gl |

hmm I always see recommendations for bigger rolls for hu sng than most things. u can lose a buyin from 1 preflop suckout often |

this + you probably ran bad or whatever, but it's hard to measure over such small sample.
play 1k HUsngs and you have a more accurate sample, as going on a streak of 6 winnings/losings isnt uncommon |

alright thanks for the posts guys. Yeah i guess i could have tilted, but i looked at some more HH and only got it in bad once where i was JJ vs QQ when i only had 1k left. Guess ill just have to saddle up and try again. Might drop down and play some 5's for a while |

the hands look really bad and are definitely tiltworthy, but you'll learn sooner or later to just drop it. take this from someone who has REALLY had a tilt problem in the past. but blog posting is the way to go, whenever it gets really awful I do that too.
soon you'll have a session where you win everything you take part of. thats poker. it's insane. gl. |
